A 13-year-old schoolboy’s holiday to the Canary Islands was ruined because he was scalded on a Ryanair flight from Dublin to his holiday destination, Judge Michael Walsh heard at the Circuit Civil Court today.

Barrister Conor Kearney, solicitor for Donimik Trela, said hot chocolate was spilled in flight on the boy’s left thigh when a Ryanair flight attendant asked him to pass a cup of hot chocolate to his cousin who was sitting near him.
