“We spent a lot of time defining what we are as a band on this album,” explains singer George Haverson. “With ‘Greasy Boy’ I wanted to poke fun at that labeling process. Ultimately, five guys playing guitar is not a new phenomenon and that has never escaped our notice. I think it’s important to acknowledge that and the stranglehold it’s had on the guitar scene. As festival line-ups slowly creep towards a richer and more diverse future, the ‘eye-rolling’ filthy heartthrobs will hopefully be left behind. The song is about following that line, or maybe standing in the way.”

The song follows previous singles, “Goodbye (So Long, Farewell)”, “Sit Down”, “The Real Thing” and “Why Would I Lie”.
