(Minneapolis, MN) – The Minnesota Twins allowed just six hits in a 5-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies at Target Field last night.

Minnesota scored a run each in the third and fourth innings before putting the game away with a three-run eighth. Royce Lewis hit a two-run homer in his first game of the season in Minneapolis. Chris Paddack earned his fifth win after striking out six in six and a third scoreless innings. The third-place Twins have won their last two games and are 35-31.

Colorado right-hander Dakota Hudson fell to 2-8 after giving up one earned run and one unearned run on four hits in six-and-two-thirds frames. Colorado has dropped eight of 10 and is 23-43.

Game two of the three-game series is tonight at 6:40 PM.
